“Need computer skills?”

This FREE class for adult education students is designed to focus on writing/communications skills as they pertain to computer usage, with an introduction to computers component built in.  Students will be pre and post tested using the Workplace Language TABE. By the end of the course the participant will:

  • upgrade language/writing skills needed to write a comprehensive, error free document

  • be introduced to computers (basic functions and keyboarding)

  • learn on-line etiquette

  • learn how to navigate to websites for employment and applications purposes

The class will focus on the language component first, followed by the post testing on the skills, and then applying the learned skills to computer usage.  The class sessions will run for two hours each, for four weeks.  Classes will be held at the NIA Center in the Adult Education computer lab and classroom.
